Included in the plan is the phrase "off-ramps", in case things aren't going his way in 6 months. Then he can get out quickly.

I'm stunned at the audacity of this man. He knows more than McChrystal? And taking 6 months to tell him he can have 85% of what he asked for.

What a jerk. Elections have consequences, remember that. Especially in 2010, when midterms come around.
