Vince Flynn books are a great read!

Just started listening to Transfer of Power, the first of the Mitch Rapp series of books. I've listened to Term Limits, before, and I enjoyed that one, too. But this one starts out differently, and with a bang! An assault on the White House, wow. This time, someone takes the Secret Service seriously, though, not like the episode of 24 when they retreated when the President was taken hostage. I never watched the series after that.

Let me put it this way, I haven't read or listened to a novel that made me have an emotional response as strong as this one, since I read the chapter "Three Shakes" in Tom Clancy's Sum of All Fears. This one is shaping up to be that good! Now let's see if Flynn can build up his characters enough to top the pinnacle of Tom Clancy novels, Clear and Present Danger. Rapp seems to be the equivalent of John Kelly/John Clark, wrapped up with my favorite character, Domingo Chavez. He's off to a roaring start, and I can't wait to get back to the book!

Highly recommended, even though I'm only part way into it!
